Codes of Practice

The Codes of Practice regulate activities that are normally regulated through approvals granted by the Water Act. These activities are managed separately to simplify the approval process for certain activities, however the Codes of Practice are still regulated and enforced by the Water Act. With the Codes of Practice in effect and with notification to ESRD an activity can take place without  Water Act approval. Notification for works must be submitted to ESRD 14 days before the work is to begin.
